Bates or Redfearn, who's really to blame?

The question is intended as a total no brainer. It's totally clear that Redfearn is totally out of his depth, but to be fair of course he's gonna jump at it when offered a shot at the Leeds job. The only good thing to come from last night is that there's now absolutely no way Bates can keep him on beyond Saturday...his odds have gone through the floor, 10/1 and falling on SkyBet while McCarthy is close to even.

In the wake of last night I'm anticipating a fairly vicious backlash against Redfearn, but personally I think we need to channel our anger in a different direction. BATES OUT!

The present situation is just as much redfearn fault, accepting a job on hope alone, he has to be sacked now for putting us out of reach of promotion, the only way he is not at fault is because he is so thick he simply does not know his own limitations.
It's like a hanglider pilot wangling a job as first officer on a 747 and crashing it.

Point taken, Redfearn isn't totally blameless here, but who offered him the job in the first place? If the hang-glider pilot crashes the plane you mentioned it's the airline execs that gave him the job up in court...probably because the pilot is dead and can't appear, buy you get my drift.

Bates is the guilty one here, HE HAS TO GO!

Re: Bates or Redfearn, who's really to blame?

If you offer me the chance of managing Leeds I'd take it. Not a milisecond's hesitation. Am I qualified? Erm - no.

You can't blame Redfearn, though he's an appalling manager.

TBH I said Gary Mills would get the job at this rate last night, but he's actually better qualified than Redfearn and has shown some managerial talent at York recently. Hell, Eddie Gray is, and would be nigh on impervious to proper criticism because he's only taking it part-time to help us out.

Instead of getting someone in to tide us over (though I'm not suggested Gray or Mills were gonna be in line for caretaker positions!) they appointed a man whose height of management experience is at a financially imploding Scarborough, and as caretaker for one match at York City.

What did they expect, really?

Redfearn talking about (not) defending from the front in an article from the OS this morning...'...it's something that needs to be addressed by whoever takes over...' Pretty much resigned to the inevitable then, post-match 'frank discussion' with Mr Bates perhaps.

Even money on Mick McCarthy. I think more likely than Warnock if only because despite the front Bates has to be feeling the heat a bit and knows Mick would be a popular choice with the fans, many of whom think Warnock is a total twat :-)

Well we all know that bastard bates is responsible for all that is going wrong but we can do nothing about him except cut off his money supply, let him fund the club himself he will soon capitulate and for all those who fear he will shut the club down, relax, he has too much to lose.
